"Flashpoint" is an emotional journey following the lives of members of the SRU (Strategic Response Unit) as they solve hostage situations, bust gangs, and defuse bombs. They work by utilizing their training to get inside the heads of these people in order to make them reach their breaking point (aka their flashpoint).
Prev Story: As the team tries to find who shot Ed, they find something interesting about the person who shot Ed. Also Sophie's life is put at risk due to the danger of the labor to have the baby, while she is at the hospital her husband's life is also at risk while undergoing surgery.
After Officer William Grealy's trial ends in him being found innocent of killing a child, his life is in danger due to violent rioting, led in part by the dead boy's father, and Team One is charged with escorting him to the airport for a family vacation. However, when he is kidnapped they must find him before he is killed. Meanwhile, a recuperating Ed, who came to the station to discuss his future plans with Sgt. Parker, is allowed to join the team as an observer.
A young whistleblower who has a loyal following online and doesn't realize that by exposing corruption he puts himself and others in a lot of danger especially when Team One believes he may be working to something much more dangerous.
